What’s the best talent build for leveling? Where can you get better healing gear? How to shine in PvP even if you don’t have top of the line equipment? There is an endless list of questions that shamans face on their way towards and after reaching level 85. Whether it’s rewarding farming locations or better raiding tactics, learning directly from insider know-how always pays off tremendously. The World of Warcraft Shaman reference book provides plenty of that while also providing new players with an easy start in the game at the same time.
Blizzard noted that some players were not happy just fighting computer controlled enemies until they were level sixty. They noticed that some players wanted more then the security that they could definitely take out an equal level enemy. What is more dangerous the vile enemies controlled by the computer? Well other players of course!
Earning PvP rewards in World of Warcraft Combat go to the Battlegrounds. There you will be rewarded Marks of Honor for competing in and finishing battles. You still earn 3 marks for a win, 1 for a loss. However, the Brigadier Generals in the war rooms are gone, so you no longer redeem Marks of Honor for cash and extra points.

PVP (Player Versus Player) is an important aspect of World of Warcraft, many players choosing this path over PVE (Player Versus Environment). In World of Warcraft The Burning Crusade, the “Honor Points” gained from each succesful enemy kill can be used as currency to buy PVP rewards. Please check out our Honor PVP Rewards section to find out exactly what you can buy for your character using Honor Points.

When PvP leveling in Battlegrounds was introduced with Patch 3.2 (August 2009), players rushed to try their blades and spellbooks at this new way to gain XP. It was fresh, it was fun — and boy, was it fast! It took just one month for Blizzard to nerf experience gains (patch 3.2.2, September 2009), rolling back XP rates to more reasonable levels. Today, while we wouldn’t say that Battlegrounds are a recommended way to level up, we do continue to recommend them as a healthy part of your leveling experience. (Yes, I was wearing scrubs and holding a clipboard and stethoscope during that last statement.) Let’s take a look at all the reasons you should and shouldn’t be PvPing on your path to level 80.

Ever since the dawn of multiplayer gaming, people have had a pressing need to belong to something larger than themselves. Though it could often be dismissed for purely selfish ends in MUDs and other RPGs, the happenings continued with the introduction of QuakeSpy, a utility that allowed people to play against their friends over the internet (and which later evolved into the now-famous GameSpy). The wish to join with other players in First Person Shooters could be likened to the wish to join a sports team; the success of your team reflected on your personal success. If your team won all its matches, your name would be in the limelight as one of the people who made it happen.
